Capture Maple Grove Moments

Enter the Maple Grove Moments Photography Contest! The City of Maple Grove is proud to partner with Prime Advertising & Design, Inc. as we look for some great shots for our photo library, website, and area-wide publications. Please share your photographic skills and snapshots of your community.

Prizes will be awarded and winning photos displayed on the City of Maple Grove website. Submit your favorite photos in the following categories:

• Great People -- people, activities
• Great Places -- cityscapes, buildings, architecture
• Great Outdoors --parks, landscapes, plants, sunrise/sunet, animals (no pets, please)

The photo contest will run quarterly, but entries can depict any of the four seasons. Photos must have been taken in Maple Grove in 2006 or later and can be submitted by Maple Grove residents or business people, amateurs or professionals.

Photos submitted by August 1, 2007 will be judged and winning entries also published in the Fall 2007 City of Maple Grove newsletter. Subsequent submission deadlines are: November 1, 2007; February 1, 2008, and May 1, 2008 with those quarterly winning entries published in the winter 2007 and 2008 spring and summer newsletters.

Photo Contest Judging/Awards

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the City of Maple Grove and Prime Advertising & Design, Inc.

Photographs will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and how an image expresses the theme of the selected category.

All decisions will be final, and judges reserve the right to recategorize or disqualify any entrant. Prizes may not be awarded if no acceptable entries are received.

It is the responsibility of the participant to submit the entry image(s) in the correct category.

Winners will be judged in each category. There will be a prize given for an overall winner each quarter, and each category winner will receive an award of appreciation. Overall and category winning photographs will be published on the City website and in the quarterly City of Maple Grove newsletter.

Some entries may be posted for public viewing at the Maple Grove Government Center.
